In this panel discussion, speakers will share their personal experiences with the process of obtaining post-secondary education, specifically teacher certification. Panelists (one from each of the four regions of Inuit Nunangat) will describe their pathway to becoming a teacher, outlining their academic experiences as well as how this impacted their families and communities. Speakers will also reflect on what they learned from these experiences once they became practicing teachers, and offer insights and points of discussion related to culturally relevant teacher education and post-secondary opportunities more generally.
