Study of Environmental Arctic Change (SEARCH) investigators seek expert contributors to help co-produce a conceptual framework of the Arctic system; apply the framework to identify drivers and consequences of Arctic change in terms of natural, social, geopolitical, and economic environments; and share holistic understanding in formats accessible to diverse audiences. Three co-production teams, comprising scientific, Indigenous, and decision-making experts, will focus on understanding and predicting the Processes of Arctic Environmental Change and their consequences in terms of Human Well-being and Geopolitical and Economic Stability. This holistic understanding--synthesized across knowledge systems--will be shared in diverse products tailored to specific audiences including policy makers, members of Arctic communities, business people, and scientists. SEARCH recognizes that co-production of knowledge is difficult but necessary; that a complex collaboration of scientists, Indigenous experts, and decision makers will focus research in ways that better inform decisions; and that Inuit and scientific researchers in Canada have advanced co-production in recent years. In this town hall, we will outline our co-production plans and solicit ideas and collaborators.
