Extending west from northern Greenland through the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, the Last Arctic Ice Area is a vital region locally and globally: for Inuit communities, as a habitat for wildlife, and with an important role regulating global climate. This plenary will feature renowned researchers and Indigenous Knowledge Holders from Canada and Greenland who will discuss a range of topics including the diversity of habitats and wildlife, geopolitical issues, economic trade, and the importance of this area for Canada, Greenland, and Arctic protected areas. This panel will be moderated by Meghan Leslie, President and CEO of World Wildlife Fund Canada.
